I am writing this message from a hotel in Vietnam!! We are spending our Christmas holidays in Singapore, Vietnam, and Kalimantan (Indonesian island North of us by Borneo). We will write more about this vacation later... so far it's been quite an adventure.
Below you will find a link to some videos from our family. There are some older ones of our school's Junior School Athletics Day and there are some newer ones from our kids' Christmas ensemble performances. Each student at SPH is part of an ensemble. These are many choices - band, violin, piano, ballet, vocals, etc. Well, after a long and sometimes difficult first half of the school year these performances were a sweet moment for all of us. Silas was proud to sing some beautiful songs during our Kindy Christmas concert. Alia was happy to show us what she has quietly been working on in her ballet class (note that we just discovered that there is no sound with the video...we will have to fix them when we return to Jakarta.) The same boy who brought us tears of frustration and sadness brought us tears of joy as he sang with his vocals ensemble. And Nisha is having lots of fun learning to play an Indonesian instrument - the Anklung!
We are sad that we will not be with family during this Christmas season. So we're hoping these videos will bring our kids a little closer to you via your computer screen! :)
